Cellular wall of Eucalyptus grandis under influence of growth regulators - chemical-anatomical aspects

چکیده
This research was caried out to understand the behavior of growth regulators (giberelic acid (GA3) e 6-benzilaminopurin (BAP) on lignification system of Eucalyptus grandis (FORMER Hill Maiden). After GA3 (alone) and BAP (combined) applications, analyses were carried out. These regulators were applied by a atomization system at different concentrations levels. Anatomical analysis, including Mäule and Wiesner test as well as chemical analysis such as insoluble (Klason) and dioxane lignin were carried out as well. Infrared spectroscopy, methoxyl determination (Seizel Method) and total protein (Kjedahl Method) were performed. Synergism was suggested for G[1]C[1] treatment, at following concentrations: 49,13 μM and 111 μM. These treatments decreasing around 20% of lignin. In spite of infrared spectra that showed G/S composition, lignin GS, HG were confirmed by methoxyl content, suggesting regulators action on lignin biosynthesis and lignin structural modification. Positive Mäule and Wiesner test were observed, while protein did not modified significatively.

Localization and Transcriptional Responses of Chrysoporthe austroafricana in Eucalyptus grandis Identify Putative Pathogenicity Factors
Chrysoporthe austroafricana is a fungal pathogen that causes the development of stem cankers on susceptible Eucalyptus grandis trees. Clones of E. grandis that are partially resistant and highly susceptible have been identified based on the extent of lesion formation on the stem upon inoculation with C. austroafricana. These interactions have been used as a model pathosystem to enhance our unde...

The current study assesses the effect of fibrous clay minerals’ amendments and arbuscular mycorrhiza incubation on heavy metal uptake and translocation in Eucalyptus grandis and Ailanthus altissima plants. For doing so, Eucalyptus and ailanthus trees have been grown in a soil sample, contaminated with heavy metal iron ore mining and collected from southern Iran. The area under study is arid, wi...

متن کاملEvidence for salicylic acid signalling and histological changes in the defence response of Eucalyptus grandis to Chrysoporthe austroafricana
Eucalyptus species are cultivated for forestry and are of economic importance. The fungal stem canker pathogen Chrysoporthe austroafricana causes disease of varying severity on E. grandis. The Eucalyptus grandis-Chrysoporthe austroafricana interaction has been established as a model system for studying Eucalyptus antifungal defence. Previous studies revealed that the phytohormone salicylic acid...
